SBF Goes Down but Cardano Marches On at Cardano Summit

In New York City this week, the crypto industry faced its latest challenge as FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried was found guilty of one of the largest financial frauds on record.

At the exact same time in Dubai, the picture is much different as Cardano presented reasons to be optimistic about the future of its ecosystem and crypto at the annual Cardano Summit.

The Cardano Summit, which welcomed more than 30,000 global attendees, arrives at a time when the Cardano market cap is white-hot, having grown nearly 30% in the past month.

The Cardano Summit welcomed some of the most active and leading names in blockchain adoption including Frederik Gregaard of the Cardano Foundation, Dr. Bernhard Kronfellner of Boston Consulting Group, Leah Callon-Butler of CoinDesk, Sunny Lu of VeChain, and Connie Bloem of Mesh.

“Adoption” is what was on the tip of everyone’s tongue at the annual event, which makes it no surprise NOW Solutions (parent company of ChangeNOW and NOWPayments) had a strong presence. This was a priority for the exchange which established itself as a leading non-custodial exchange in 2023.

According to a press release scheduled for release on Monday, November 6 but shared with San Francisco Download, NOW Solutions CEO Xena Kash shared the company was “thrilled to be a part of this exciting event and contribute to the growing Cardano ecosystem. … Cardano’s commitment to innovation aligns perfectly with our vision.” The exchange and liquidity provider tipped off future partnerships with “leading” Cardano projects Rejuve, Yoroi, and Minswap.

The Cardano Summit, which concludes on November 4th, also features the Cardano Summit Awards which honors ten individuals for their exceptional contributions within the Cardano ecosystem. Categories include Ambassador, Blockchain for Good, Cardano Improvement Proposal, DeFi/DEX, Developer or Developer Tool, Educational Influencer, Marketplace, NFT Project, Most Impactful SSPO, and Self-Sovereign Identity.
